Privacy Policy

What this website collects, what our mascot Wizodd does with your questions, and what we do with it all.

The short version
  • This website asks for nothing about you unless you use the contact form or talk to the Wizodd mascot.
  • It sets no cookies and has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking tools.
  • Questions you put to the mascot are sent to Anthropic, whose Claude AI writes his answers. The answers are sent to ElevenLabs, which makes his voice.
  • We never sell personal information.

1. Who we are

Wizodd Technologies LLC ("Wizodd", "we", "us") is a Delaware limited liability company. We design hardware and software for the controls industry. Our mailing address is 8 The Green #23964, Dover, DE 19901, United States.

This policy covers this website, wizodd.us, including the contact form and the Wizodd mascot, the talking character on the home page. It does not cover:

  • Our store at shop.wizodd.us, which runs on Shopify and shows its own privacy policy;
  • powerconnect and wizoddtechnologies.com, which have their own privacy policy;
  • Other websites we link to, such as YouTube and GitHub.
2. What we collect

When you visit. Like any website, our server receives your IP address and basic browser details with each request. These may appear in our web host's technical logs, which are used only for security and troubleshooting. The site's fonts, scripts and pictures all come from our own server.

When you use the contact form. We collect what you type: your name, your email address, the subject you pick and your message. We save the enquiry on our web server and email it to our team through Microsoft 365 so we can reply. To stop spam, we use your IP address to limit how many enquiries one address can send in an hour. We hold it in memory only, never on disk and never with your enquiry.

When you talk to the Wizodd mascot.

  • Your questions. What you type or say, and the earlier questions and answers from the same visit, are sent to our server and passed to Anthropic so its Claude AI can write the answer. The conversation is held in the page in your browser and is gone when you leave or reload it.
  • His voice. The text of each answer is sent to ElevenLabs, which turns it into speech. Tick "Text only, no voice" and nothing is sent to ElevenLabs for the voice.
  • The microphone. The microphone is used only when you click the microphone button, and your browser asks your permission first. If your browser has speech recognition built in, the browser turns your speech into text and we never receive the sound. Some browsers do this by sending the sound to the browser maker's own servers. If your browser has no speech recognition, the recording is sent to our server and passed to ElevenLabs to be turned into text.
  • What we keep. We do not save your questions, the mascot's answers or any recordings on our server. Its technical log records how long each answer took and any error messages.

Please do not tell the mascot anything private, such as passwords, payment details or health information.

When you open the About page. The video there is a YouTube player in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Your browser loads it directly from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page opens, and more if you play the video. Google's privacy policy covers what it does with that.

3. How we use it
  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you suggest a product, to consider the idea.
  • To let the Wizodd mascot answer you.
  • To keep the website working and secure.
  • To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not use personal information for advertising, we do not build marketing profiles, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. These companies handle information for us so the website can work:

  • Name.com hosts this website and the server behind the contact form and the mascot.
  • Microsoft (Microsoft 365) is our email service. It carries contact form enquiries to our team, and our replies to you.
  • Anthropic provides the Claude AI that writes the mascot's answers. It receives your questions and the conversation from the same visit.
  • ElevenLabs provides the mascot's voice. It receives the text of his answers and, in browsers without speech recognition, the recording of your spoken question.
  • Google (YouTube) supplies the video player on the About page. Your browser contacts Google directly.

Anthropic and ElevenLabs process this information for us under their own commercial terms and privacy policies. We do not send them your name, your email address or anything from the contact form.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Wizodd or others. If Wizodd merges with or is bought by another company, or sells its business, information may pass to the new owner, who must keep following this policy.

5. Cookies and browser storage

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The YouTube player on the About page comes from Google and may store data in your browser when you play the video.

6. How we protect information

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The keys for the AI and voice services are kept on our server and never reach your browser. Access to enquiries is limited to the people at Wizodd who answer them. No website can promise perfect security, but we work to keep what we hold safe.

7. How long we keep it
  • Contact form enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to reply and to keep a record of what was asked. Ask us and we will delete yours.
  • Conversations with the mascot are not kept by us. Anthropic and ElevenLabs may keep what they receive for a limited time under their own policies.
  • Technical logs are kept for a limited time by our web host.
8. Your choices and rights
  • You can read the whole website without using the contact form or the mascot.
  • You can use the mascot by typing only, switch off his voice, and refuse or withdraw the microphone permission in your browser at any time.
  • You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@wizoddtechnologies.com. We may need to confirm it is you before we act.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you more rights over your personal information. We will honor any request the law requires us to, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

9. Children

This website is for adults who build and run their own smart homes. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Where information is processed

Wizodd is based in the United States. We and the companies listed in Section 4 process information in the United States and in other countries where those companies operate.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on this page.
